Green Hammerton C.E. School is a primary,
co-educational day school for children from
4 to 11 years old.  It is a Controlled school, maintained by North Yorkshire County Council.

We are a warm and friendly school with a caring and committed staff. We give great emphasis to the creative arts as well as the academic curriculum and work closely with Boroughbridge High School to promote sports, dance, drama, French and music.

                
Green Hammerton is delighted to have been awarded the Ofsted Outstanding Standard
of Practice Healthy Schools award, ICT Mark 
and the Activemark for Physical Education                      

The original brick and sandstone classroom was built and administered by the Church of England in 1874.  Over the years additional accommodation has been added and there are now four classrooms, a spacious hall and the usual offices.
